The British newspaper The Guardian crowns another beach of Salento among the most beautiful in Europe.
It is Gallipoli's secret beach, "la spiaggia della Purità".
A stretch of sand in front of the Ionian Sea, with the water in every shade, from transparent to deeper blue towards the open sea.
Here, the coast forms a cove named Seno della Purità, borrowed from the nearby Baroque church, Santa Maria della Purità.
This paradise is called "Puritate beach" by the locals.
